Named after General George S. Patton, Jr., the M47 medium tank was an interim vehicle that was quickly designed and produced to meet the needs of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. The M48 Patton was designed as a replacement for the M47. The M60 was the first U.S. main battle tank and was the longest serving tank of the US Armed Forces.

Three large, hand-drawn illustrations detail all three versions of the Patton tanks.
