B-17 Flying Fortress

Three beautiful hand-drawn illustrations of one of the most important aircraft of World War II, the B-17 Flying Fortress. More than 12,000 B-17s were built by Boeing, Lockheed-Vega and Douglas Aircraft Company from 1936 to 1945.

Our B-17 Flying Fortress print is dedicated to the courageous men who flew long bomber missions in World War II. Flying aircraft that had been repaired numerous times, bomber crews had to battle enemy fighters, anti-aircraft weapons, lack of fuel, inclement weather, crude bombsight equipment, and the toil of flying long distances day after day.
