The 45th Division landed in Italy on 10 July, 1943 and spent 511 days in combat on the Western front during World War II. In addition to the Sicily campaign, the division fought in the Naples-Foggia, Anzio, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe campaigns.

This reproduction print was crafted from six separate maps from the US Library of Congress Geography and Map Division. By combining the charts into one graphic, the complete story of the 45th division is presented in one sweeping view.
