The 80th Infantry Division, known as the Blue Ridge Division, landed on Utah Beach in France during the first week of August 1944. The division spent 239 days in combat on the Western front during World War II and fought in the Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe campaigns.
